Bios biological and ecosystems
The human body is a complex hierarchy, both dynamical and structural. At the lowest structural level, chromosome, structure is greatly devoted to information and knowledge representation: genome. Parallel to the functional hierarchy: genome, proteome, metabolome, there is the structural hierarchy: protein, molecular fiber, extra cellular matrix, cell, tissue, organ, physiologic system and individual. Complexity in living systems is mainly due to two factors: autonomy and diversity. This autonomy gives the opportunity to model such a complex systems by the use of techniques such as Object Oriented Methods and Cellular Automata.
